I know that line breeding, cousin x cousin, even mom x son and father x daughter; is ok, but what about half brother to half sister? I'm still looking for a breeding age buck for my havana, but at the moment the breeders I have talked with don't have any bucks that they would sell. The breeder I bought the doe from does have one, it would be from a different doe but has the same buck as mine. Would that work out? The quailty of my doe is wonderful and the buck is from another litter that I did look at the day I bought her, they're all very nice in type; so would it be ok to breed half and half together? If not I still am searching like mad. ;)

That should work just fine. I would do it in a heartbeat if the buck was nice.

My show puppy (Papillon) was from a half brother half sister breeding. River is very nice. I think it's fine if the ancestor you line breed/in breed on is superb. It locks in traits.
