James and I decided to go ahead and adopt two kittens. We're doing a foster-to-adopt program, just in case the bunnies panic. So far it's going pretty good though, and we're pretty sure we're keeping them.
Here's our new babies. We got them on Wednsday. They're not from the same litter but they're pretty friendly with each other. They're both about 8-9 weeks old.
Eve: Very friendly and social (and hyper!), she would usually rather play with us or Lily than with toys. She's into everything and is very vocal. She meows if she's bored, lonely, curious, playing, or if she just woke up from a nap. She likes to curl up near us but won't sit on our laps yet.
Lily: A sweety, shy girl who's pretty low-key for a kitten. The shelter lady said that she was more used to her littermates than people, but she's really warmed up to us. Actually, today she decided to become a full-time lap kitten. If one of us is sitting at the computer, she's curled up on our lap purring away. She's on James' lap in the pic, and she's pushing her head under my hand right now. She's very gentle but gets defensive about the Cat Dancer and canned food, probably because she's used to having to fight for what she wants with her siblings. Almost all of her whiskers have been chewed off. I wonder how long it will take for them to grow back?
I have a lot more pics but I don't have time to post them. Instead, you can go to my picture site here:
