So I rehab cotton tails for release into the wild. I just do it to help these babies, I'm not registered or certified or any of that. I live in a very rural area so there are plenty of babies that I help. I learned how to care for them by research & talking to a vet & a true cotton tail rehab center.. Anywho I kept one back out of this last batch, the rest I released last weekend. The one I kept is somewhat crippled;his back hind end just doesn't work like it should. I just didn't have the heart to turn him out with out the ability to flee or fight. So I am a cotton tail bunny Momma now. So here we go.

Releasing a bunny in the wild is a bad thing because a lot of bunnies die by cars, animals, and others. You could've just sent them to a rescue because rabbits depend on human to feed and take care of them. Rabbits are very fragile. I know you didn't mean to release them into the wild.. Because you didn't know. But next time you should send them for adoption or to the rescue. I'm also a new bunny moma mine is a dutch bunny his name is caramel and I'm working on potty training him. I hope you will have a good time with your new bunny

I know there are rules that you can’t keep wild animals but I hope everything goes well with your cotton tail might be other rules in USA. I remember when I was a kid I always fed a wild bunny, it came every morning during breakfast to get it’s food from us.

One of the neighbours got annoyed that the wild bunny settled down nearby because the dogs started to bark and pull on the leash every time they saw it. So they choiced to capture the bunny and released it back into another forest.

Myself have been feeding the wild animals that come to the house. Specially during winter when it can be hard finding food ☺️

These are wild rabbits. Sometimes you will find an injured rabbit, or a nest of kits whose mother has died, that you will need to rehabilitate. They aren’t domesticated pet rabbits that will die if being released. Although yes, in case I’m horribly wrong. Please don’t release pet rabbits into the wild

There are however laws on keeping wild rabbits in most countries, but if you have a licence (or something of the sort), it should be okay.
