Just a quick question about my babies and runny noses.

Shasta and Shiloh are now approximately 12-weeks old. They are growing and developing wonderfully and are such delights. I love them a ton.

But I do have a question (a little concern). I spent a lot of time with them on Sunday and noticed nothing out of the ordinary, but then yesterday I noticed a slight dampness under their noses. I wouldn't think anything of it, but it had a light green/yellow tinge to it. Their paws are clear and they're eating, drinking, and playing as normal. Pooping and peeing is no different either.

I flipped both on their backs so I could get a good look at their noses and they look clear. Any dampness is not colored so I'm assuming that the discoloration is from either their hay or pellets. But I figured it couldn't hurt to run it past everyone here. I'd prefer not to do the vet thing unless absolutely necessary and my gut is telling me that they're just fine albeit sloppy eaters.

So what do you all think?

Thanks for directing me to Shiloh's thread. I've been staying up to the minute with what's going on with her Skyler and I'm pretty sure that what's going on with my babies isn't the same thing since their discharge isn't anything but clear. I'm almost certain that this isn't bacterial or viral. I think it's good old sloppiness! But it won't hurt to look at that thread again...just in case.

But I do hope that it really is nothing. They seem fine and are as binky crazy as ever so I'm thinking we're all good, but it didn't hurt to put it out there. Here's to hoping they stay bratty!

:biggrin2:.

Bring on the Brattiness! LOL.. It just seems as of late, that so many buns are coming down with something that looks harmless at first and they expire within a day or two.. Not to bea worry wort.. Just made me concerned when I read your post and saw that it hadn't been replied to yet..

Hope they keep up the mayhem! :D

I really do appreciate your concern and support. I'll definitely keep an eye on them and will take them to the vet immediately if they start behaving oddly. I don't want anything to happen to my little troublemakers.

Was the weather warmer when you noticed their damp noses? When Buttons was younger, she'd sometimes get a damp nose on warmer days. Its clear, watery dampness.. not snot or mucus or anything like that.. and it'd disappear within a night
