I have a vehicle to drive! Mom got temp tags on the Impala today. I also got the Blazer back from the shop but it's not fully up and running. They say the fuel pump is bad on it and was going to cost me $500 to fix it and after looking online I saw the part only costs about $70.00. So I'm going to look around and prob have my dad or uncle put a new fuel pump on.

The Impala goes in the shop on June 17th to get cruise put on it. ;)

It's rainy and cloudy here... go figure, it didn't rain at all until last night. Last night we had the first funnel cloud reported near my town and other areas had tornado watches. Surprising because it really was not very warm yesterday at all.

I saw that on the news last night . We got our first rain yesterday - never did rain the other night, Stan, just thundered a lot.

Jim, what a great pet store you have :).

I have discovered Pernod LOVES being dryed with the hairdryer. She got soaked yesterday, both with the rain, and then she wouldn't come inside. John and I have found using the hosepipe on 'Jet' and 'shooting' the bunnies with it works wonders for getting them in. Not last night - Pernod just sat and soaked it all up :?. So, we had to dry her with the dryer, and she loved it so much, she was dozing off to sleep. I hope she isn't thinking of getting soaked every night, just to go under the dryer ;)

The ones on the news were not anywhere near me. We only had funnel clouds, none of them touched down. But the wind whipped up out of no where and it started pouring so hard that I kind of knew that there must be a funnel cloud forming somewhere near because everytime that happens, we tend to have a small tornado form or at least a funnel cloud. It's scary because it's getting more frequent every year and every year they get a little closer to my town.

Today I went for lunch with a friend that has been away for work. I was supposed to go to a party tonight but it was too far and I am too tired to go.

Reese is going to the vet on Tuesday to have her teeth trimmed. I will see if they can get Chase in too. His bottom jaw looks a little funny and looking at it today it feels like there is a small fluid filled ball on the right half of his bottom jaw. It makes him look a little lopsided but it's not really noticeable.

Zoey has a little extra character now. The little notch in her ear is healing well. She is also improving temperment wise (slowly but surely) since using the carrier to catch her.

Reese and Chase get along awesome since putting them together. They are still only being supervised for short visits because Chase still mounts her from time to time. He needs his hormones to calm down a bit still but there is still a few weeks until the 6-weeks is up!

I've got a final for my condensed class this week and next week I have 2 midterms, arg!

We finished our roof late last night.

Those clouds were coming in fast. I didn't have a chance to mow the lawn before it rained. Looks like the grass will wait till Monday before it gets cut.

OK, just have to vent. I am in the midst of a horrid evening. My paycheck this week was 700 dollars short of what it usually is. It means that all the time I had to take off for my injury all went through at the same time. Unfortunately, idiot me, now that we're on direct deposit and EZ stub (no paper stub, it just gets posted on a website you can check), I didn't check my check. :( Now I have paid all the things I usually do with this paycheck, along with a couple splurges, and I TOTALLY didn't have the money to do any of that! EEP! So, hubby is seething. The overdrafts are basically going to eat all of our savings up.

In addition to that, I'm not working this summer, which is the first summer I haven't worked for a long time. I was using the time to recoup from the injury and learn to walk again. I've felt guilty about it anyway, but now I feel even worse because of our money situation. I'll get paid again at the end of the month, and it will be all of the summer paychecks. I just will have absolutely no money at all until that comes in. And then, I'll still have to be extra extra careful.

I'm watching him on the other computer right now, cancelling all sorts of stuff and basically grouching on everything. He's quiet. He's in the "cave" as some books call it. My stomach hurts and I'm sitting at my desk with my dinner unable to eat...as I'm sure he won't eat the meal I made for him either. I just feel like crap.

sigh

thanks for letting me vent.

Elf Mommysorry things are alittle tight. :hug1

I am totally dependant on my wife. My paychecks is deposited electronically and I never see the money. My wife handles all the bills. Every year, if we have some money, she does let me buy a newcamera or a lens if I'm lucky.

Oh Minda, I am so sorry - it really sucks that they took all the money at once:X.

Please don't feel guilty - it wasn't like you threw yourself down the steps deliberately. Doesn't it just seem that bad things always happen together . Go hug Elf, and feel free to vent any time.

<<<hugs>>>

Thanks for chiming in and making me feel better (ok, I'm crying too, but it does make me feel good that someone is listening).

I went and downloaded my paycheck from the electronic site. It says I still have a sick leave balance of 3.44 hours. hmmmmm

I look at the check, and it says I was only paid for 43.98 hours. That works out to 6 days, because teachers are only paid 7.33 hours a day (which is a load of crap for the amount of hours we actually put in each day). On a normal pay period that would be 73.3 hours. I'm a teacher. I am on a 10 month contract. Each year, I fill in a form to put myself on something called "optional pay." That means that they will take money out of every paycheck to "equalize" my pay into 26 pachecks instead of 22 (giving me 4 paychecks for over the summer when I wouldn't be making any money). Now, keep in mind, you still have to work for the two weeks at the beginning of the school year before you get paid again, so it's really like 4 weeks without pay there at the end of the summer anyway.

What it's supposed to do is make it equal so that when you're paying your bills, you have the same amount in each check and you can budget your money well. um...

I'm not seeing that here. I see that they paid me for the 43.98 hours, STILL took out the equalization amount (18.05 hours of it) and then expect me to be able to function this pay period with less than half of what I normally make! (25.93 hours of pay). Sigh...I know my husband will be calling and reaming someone out about this, but the fact of the matter is, I'm sure it was posted somewhere and I just didn't pay attention to that little detail of a meager paycheck at the end of the school year (just when all the little things come in to pay for!).

grrr....

and now I've vented again...bah!

ETA: Nope, I printed out the optional pay calendar, and according to it, I should've had a normal paycheck this time! I'll be making some angry phone calls tomorrow! :grumpy:

So sorry you're having the cash probs :(

We came up short this month, too.
They reassessed our property and the mortgage has put us beyond our means until we can make some adjustments to our budget....don't know exactly where we're going to find those "adjustments".

And Chippy needs to go to the vet, which make things even more difficult.....one vet visit equals a weeks' worth of groceries....
I'd go hungry, but I don't think the rest of the family would be willing.

Isn't it amazing how they can reassess things like your property. I think you should go to your boss and say, they've reassessed my property and it seems they think I should be making more money.

Just insane! Everything is going up except our paychecks!!! What the heck do they expect us to do?

Sorry to hear about those with money ouches! :?

Just got back from picking up the Impala from the car shop. It's now got cruise and an electric remote key. Guess you can say, I am now offically happy with the car. :D

Last Sunday, there were two events I had to take pictures.

First was our annual Mah BBQ at noon. It rained heavy in the morning, so we moved from the rented Park location to our Mah Building where we BBQ'ed outsideon the sidewalkand ate inside the building.
