I acquired a new rabbit yesterday morning. I got her from someone who could no longer take care of her and I found out she came from a terrible breeder. I started to notice she wast acting right and she had this white stuff coming from her eyes and nose. So i took her to the vet a little while ago. The vet said she had Snuffles and it would be best to put her down because I have another rabbit and its highly contagious. I am so upset. I wanted to give her a good home. I guess I didnt save her in time :?:tears2:

That is so sad. You tried your best to give her a second chance.

Some people should be shot. I am sure that they knew their rabbit was sick when they gave her to you. Thank goodness you didn't put her in with your other rabbits. You did the best for her, poor little thing.

Thank you for that because I am feeling really down about this. According to the vet, she definitely had it for awhile. She said it was very advanced. If it hadnt been so advanced she was going to treat it. But there was nothing she could do for her at this point. Jessie really was a sweetheart. She was very friendly when I brought her home, but it couldve just been because she was sick and didnt have the energy to run away from me. I really want to go to these people and give them a piece of my mind

We're so sorry for your loss. It always seems like the sweet ones get the worst owners. We're so sorry she wasn't able to enjoy her forever home for very long, but you did your best by her and that's what counts. Rest in peace little girl.

So sorry about your bunny-I got a snuffley bunny (my Charlie) and the breeder was very kind and took her back and tried treating her. I haven't heard from her in a while but last I knew she wasn't getting better.

We tried several things for treating her and itjust didn't work. Snuffles (Pasturella specifically) is so hard to treat-a terrible disease.

So sorry about your bunny..RIP lil' bunzer and binky free!

I am so sorry for your loss. :pray:Time does not matter when you love someone, and I understand how very bad you feel and how you miss her even though you had her such a very short time.
