Stan, I think it's awful you having to work at 6am on New Years Day :X (Dec.31 post).
Some of the co-workers didn't like it, and this morning they told the Boss they are going to quit. :( It's going to be a rough year going to work, as we are short of people already. :X

On a brighter note, I went over to the shelter after work to check up on the bunnies, but the shelter wasn't opened yet. So I went home and took Carolyn (wife) out for breakfast. Later tonight we will be going out for supper with the rest of the family.

Bo B Bunny: Should I get some pictures of the fish that weare having for suppertonight? :p

WOW, what a way to start off the first few days of the new year. It's -40F right now!The more unbelievable part is they are calling for a high of 36F on Monday.:faint:

I hope everyone is having a good start to the new year and lets hope 2009 brings less losses than 2008.

Then we go right back into the deep freeze of 14*F on Tuesday and 0*F for Wednesday. Lucky I have remote starters for our cars. Trouble is the car doesn't get that warm when it is so cold outside. :p

I LOVE this weather :biggrin2:

It was -29 today, and John and I went for a walk. The trees by the river were all frosted and the snow was about 12 inches deep - it looked beautiful :). People think I'm mad, but it's so nice to have a 'proper' winter!

I started my lovely new job yesterday. The commute sucks. It ends up being a total of 2 hours to and from work. So I am out of the house by 7 am and I don't get home until 5:30. It makes for somewhat of a long day... mainly because it's dark when I leave and it's dark when I get home. But I am in engineering services and doing an actual engineering job! It's sweet!

The bunnies are well, Nao is shedding like there is no tomorrow and it's driving me nuts!

:lalalala:That's not working with seeing Minda's beach picture! :huh

It's not been THAT snowy but we've had some snow and ice here. The kids are both home with the stomach flu thing and they've missed SO much school it's upsetting to say the least! This is the second round of it for them in 2 months!

Winter is on my bad list this year....... I'm ready for spring! :X

Felt like spring today. :D It was 2*C (35*F). Only problem was the roads were so dirty and slushy. Will get more snow but the next two weeks we will be above normal temperatures. Good time to go skating outdoors. :biggrin2:

It it a full moon tonight? It was so round and bright this evening.

Stan - you take the BEST pictures- you really do.

Is it just me - or is anyone else shocked that pretty soon we'll be halfway through January?

WHERE does the time go???

Stan, that is an AMAZING photo! I read someplace that we were going to have some really spectacular moons - you proved it!

Peg, it's going by but I can't say it's fast enough for me! LOL! I need it to be a month or so from now....... Then it will be going too fast! cause I have my son's graduation and birthday and then getting him to college...... yikes!
