For a while I was having forum issues, then computer issues...
Things have been crazy here in other aspects as well.
One of my friends had a house fire which was devistating. The house was a complete loss, one of her rabbits is now in the clear healthwise after the fire (thank goodness for detachable garages) but she lost her beloved dogs and her other bunny.
Another friend of mine moved into a rental and I've been helping with that, as the house was willed to me by an aunt when she passed away. The house needed tons of work but I'm happy now that it is occupied and I don't have to make long trips checking on the property, outbuildings and soforth.
My Mom has several health problems that have recently gotten worse, all compounded by her severe depression. Things are very shaky with her right now but there have been better days, or even moments, than there has been in a while.
My Grandma, bless her, lost her old dog a while back and has been without a pet and focus for a while. She's not able to care for a dog as she once was sooo... I was able to match her up with a beautiful grey rabbit man. He's a sweet little neutered soul that loves the quiet household she has to offer.
Work is as steady as ever, but I am considering picking up a part time job around the holiday season. Vet bills have been out of this world for me this year and with Christmas coming up....
Some may have read about Dixie, the starved dog I took in. She's recovering quite a bit, and quite honestly - one of my dogs HATES her with a passion so I'm really feeling the strain with her. I'm hoping the issues can be resolved, but in all honesty I'm looking for rescues to take her in. I have a LOT on my plate right now and while I can offer her a place to heal I just feel overwhelmed. Thats my feel right now, but who knows what tomorrow may bring. And of course, if I cant find any takers - she'll retire with me.
I wanted to get a lot of pictures of all my pets today but I never got around to it. I managed to drop my digital camera down the steps while stalking the cats for a few good poses and right now I don't want to spend the extra $$ to get a new one.
I was sick on Halloween and slept through the evening. Made me upset because I went all out and bought tons of stuff (not just candy) to hand out to the kids.
Election day... well, Wow. Not who I voted for, but the results weren't a huge suprise. I'm just.... Wow.
About a year and a half ago I made a website tying together some pet related info I have online. Today I got an email from the girl who was helping out - she said the site crashed and we lost almost everything! Dangit!! Our lost and found (pet) groups are still up, but now I'll have to find a new webhost and I SUCK at making websites so I'm stressed over that.
I know I have more to add, but I have a million things to do yet today and not enough time to get them done before I have to go to bed... and then get ready for work tonite.
Fingers crossed, I'll have more time and easier access to post on the forum and get back in the swing of things in the days to come!!
