Since the sudden fight, Lümi had been itching on one of his wounds again, so dad went to the vet office and came back with this Pederipra Spray, the bottle says it' for dogs cats horses cows pigs sheep goats and household birds but says nothing of rabbits.
The active ingredient is "kloortetratsükliin" and the supportive ingredient is "patentsinine V"(E131) and it says it's for skin infections. Since we've gotten other not-so-clear medications not directly for rabbits (ie itntramammary sunspension for cows that we were given to reduce red swelling when Lümi had his ear bitten) i wanted to make sure that what we got is safe for my bunnies.

I mean, if its from a vet, it should be safe, but I'm not saying that's the case. I'm not sure if it's safe. Is your vet rabbit savvy?

I don't really know, i mean, all three of my boys survived their neuter in there, and the stuff meant for cows helped Lümi get the redness down without complications. They were even honest enough to tell when they weren't able to help Musti anymore.
So i am also raising my brows, that's why i asked.

What I'm finding is that the active ingredient is chlortetracyclline, and tetracycline/oxytetracycline is considered a rabbit safe antibiotic, though not commonly used that I'm aware of. I believe that spray has a colorant added, violet I think, so it will stain the skin, fur, and anything it makes contact with.

I usually use a thin layer of plain triple antibiotic ointment(neomycin, polymyxin, bacitracin) if I have a rabbit with a minor wound that I want to stop getting infected.
