Is my rabbit skinny or fat? Or is he a good size?

Hey guys, I just came on here wondering if you guys could help determine whether louie is a healthy weight or not. I took some pictures of him. Can anyone help? If you’re wondering whether the vet told me how much he weighed when I went to go get him neutered she didn’t!
Also I tried weighing him on the weight that we have that’s able to weigh ounces, lbs, kg, and g. I put him on there but he wasn’t sitting on currently so I didn’t get a perfect number /:

For weighing, if you have a scale for humans, you can hold him, weigh yourself, and then weigh yourself without him -- the difference will be his weight.

Re: his weight, some places will print the rabbit's weight on the invoice summary, so check there if you haven't! I hope that if your rabbit was significantly under- or overweight, your vet would have notified you about it during the neutering process. It's hard to judge without handling the rabbit, but he looks within normal range.

One check is to run your hand along his spine-- you should be able to feel the spine bumps, but they should be rounded (i.e. padded by a little fat); not spikey. If you don't feel them at all, he may be on the fatter end. Below is a diagram that can provide some guidance as well:

That’s a good idea. Yeah, when I touch his spine its rounded not sharp. I’ll weigh myself rn with him and without him after he stops binkying lol Thank you sm
Edit: Just weighed myself! Turns out he’s 3.7 pounds? Is that okay? He even has a dewlap! It was a bit bigger before but ever since I removed the alfalfa pellets the dewlap kinda decreased in size. It’s still there just not as big!

So the numbers dont mean much other then for feeding guidelines.

He does not look underweight at all.
You would have to feel him physically to see if hes overweight. Can you feel ribs with out having to press firmly?

I’m convinced he’s some sort of Havana rabbit and if not then I’m not sure what breed he is. When I search up what size he should be it says they should be around 4.5 pounds and he’s well below that so I’m kind of afraid I haven’t been feeding him enough. I feed him 2 cups of veggies one in the morning then in the evening. An hour after I give him the veggies in the evening I give him his 1/4 of a cup of Timothy pellets. He also gets a treat. If he were underweight what should I do to boost his weight?(He sleeps a lot in the morning and wakes up around 2-3pm. He eats veggies, hay and half a treat in the morning then he does some binkying and is a trouble maker then goes to sleep for a while. When he wakes up he goes to eat more hay then lays around more.. he goes back and forth. Since it’s hot here I always take him out in his cage around 4-5pm so he can get fresh air since I don’t have an AC. He’s brought in at 7 and then goes in his cage at 10pm)
Also I haven’t been able to touch him because he’s already preparing to go to sleep. I didn’t wanna bug him as he was in his litter box.

Okay so he got up and I went to check and yeah I can feel his ribs without pressing. So I’m guessing he is underweight /: What should I feed him more of? Also turns out he knows how to get up on the table.

Well, actually. I’m not sure. I was getting a quick feel again but I don’t know. When I just slide my finger on the ribs it’s just like a faint boney touch. However if I do press a little harder I can feel them.

He sounds like he is the perfect BODY CONDITION. A fit lean rabbit is a lot healthier then a fat one.

Your rabbit is a mix. You cant base what he should weigh based on breed standards. Even within breeds some rabbits ard big and some are small (im not talking fat and skinny) so you need to judge their weight based on theor physical body condition not what the numbers are compared to someone elses rabbit.

Please dont add weight to him.
