Hi there,

Let me introduce myself and my bunny "Sammi". I picked up Sammi from someone who didn't want her anymore, she was living in a box previously and was fed only lettuce.

Prior to picking her up, I spent 3 days studying my options on a cage for her and the essentials. This is what I came up with. A 2x2x3 NIC, with an Ikea bathroom rack for hay, large kitten little pan, and yesterday's news for litter and a bottle. This is my 4th or 5th literation of the cage, I ended up setting up a ramp for her, and left the top off the little pan area open for more light. Door access on top and front. I am using the connectors from for the NIC, but everything is tied.

Sammi is a female bunny, but I am not sure what kind.

I noticed the water in the bottle wasn't going down very much, so I put a bowl filled with water in the little box and she went for it like mad! Wow, I should have done that sooner.

That is such a cool cage ! Does she use the ramp? I am wondering how I can do one like that ..Details please..and how much ? and where did you get the stuff to make it?

Thanks ! Nancy

Yes, the ramp gets used as well as the second level, though she spends most of the time inside the little box munching on the hay. I plan on adding a 3rd level soon.

The ramp was made by over lapping 2 squares of the wire cage, but you can use anything provided it has a non-slip surface. I am still experimenting with different kinds of surface. Tried towel and cheap camping mats. The towel seems to be a better choice.
