I have recently been offered to adopt a 6.5 month old Male Flemish Giant (Suppose to be neutered before arriving) and I want to know if introducing him to my Male Neutered Mini Lop Bun will be an issue. I've only owned one bun and his personality and demeanor seems pretty laid back... but he also never had to share space with another rabbit before. The Flemish is known for his quite and very docile demeanor but I would really like some insight and advice from the more experienced Bun keepers. Thank you in advance for your comments.

Ok... I guess my real question Is... Does size matter for the bonding process? The flemish is of course much much bigger than my lop... But my lop is years older. Maybe that is an easier question rather than going through the bonding process that I'm aware of. Sorry. And thanks in advance for ur replies.

For the most part, size doesn't matter. The only time it's really going to matter during bonding is if they're inclined to fight in which case your flemmy could do some serious damage to your lop due to sheer weight/muscle advantage.

I would wait a couple of weeks before introducing them. This both gives your new bunny time to settle in and feel comfortable in the new environment, his hormones will have dropped off more, and your two bunnies will have gotten more used to the smell of each other around. When you do introduce them, make sure it's on neutral ground, somewhere that your current bunny has never been before so that he doesn't have any claim to the space :)
