My bun, skittles (holland lop) seems to be injured. I noticed a small patch fur near his rear was had a reddish/orange tinge. I picked him up and he made whimpering noises when I touched his foot. He seems okay just hopping around as usual so I'm not sure if I should take him to the vet because it might just be a small cut. Any advice or ideas?

Thanks so much

After gently cleaning the area, you probably apply betadine [or other iodine compounds], then neosporin [not plus]. Then watch to see if he gets better. It might have been a tiny cut & a sprain, perhaps from jerking away from whatever caused the cut.

I would confine him for a few days, if it is a sprain that will give it some time to heal. If you notice any more staining or swelling I would definitely take him to a vet. If tender after a few days, maybe have it checked. Also check his nails, maybe he broke or pulled one.
