The best part is almost everything!...the licks, the impatient nudges for pets and love, the excitement when they get their treats, their utter contentment when they're flopped and relaxed, the joy of watching them binky (especially my older girl, Pumpkin), etc., etc.

The worst part is how much I worry about their health and well-being. I'm a natural worrier, and when they're acting "off", I get really scared.

The bests definitely outweigh the worst by far! Congrats on your girls!

The best part is learning how different each of their personalities can be and watching them interact with each other. I am still in awe of the way my past bonded pair loved each other. When Pepper's girl passed on, he was so depressed it was easy to see. When I got him two new friends, they got along great but they were just buddies, not mates, you know? Their social behaviors are so fascinating to me.

The worst part is definitely dealing with their illnesses, vet bills, losing them too early, etc. Rabbits are very delicate creatures so it can be very stressful when they get sick.

Best:
-They have such strong personalities.. no two rabbits are the same.
-They are quiet! (with guinea pigs who squeal every time I open the fridge, a dog who barks whenever someone knocks on the door, and a cat who meows incessantly, a quiet pet is something I cherish!)
-They have a long lifespan. Could be longer.. but compared to my rats and hamsters, I appreciate the extra time I get with my bunnies.
-They're entertaining. Anyone who lives with a rabbit can attest to their antics.
-They don't have to be walked, they can be left alone overnight, they're not as prone to serious chronic health issues (like my ferrets & rats). They are relatively easy to travel with, they are virtually odorless so long as they are kept clean.
-They get on well with other species and can typically adjust easily to cats, dogs, ect.
-Most active in the morning and evening, when most people are home from work.

Worst:
-Bonding! I HATE bonding rabbits!! But this will usually only have to happen once or twice in a rabbit's life, so long as the pair is of similar age.
-Urgency of medical issues (since once they show signs it can be an emergency).
-When they decide to stop using the litter box. And litter training in general. I'm not a fan.
-Wire chewing. I say wires, because although one of my rabbits also chews furniture, I find the wires much more bothersome.
-Persistence. If a rabbit wants to get somewhere or chew something, they will NOT quit. I don't appreciate carpet pulling/digging at 5am when Toot wants to get behind the desk.

Overall, I'm a dog person, so a dog is my first choice pet. But a rabbit is probably second. And they have many advantages over dogs. I think their pros far outweigh their cons. They are adorable, personable, entertaining, relatively low maintenance and generally low cost (spare vet bills), but I've spent far less overall on my rabbits than my dogs, my cat, my ferrets, my rats. I like the fact that rabbits can easily be set up for free range at least in select rooms, as well.

The Best: Just about all aspects of them. They are very emotional creatures and show it beautifully, entertaining, quiet, loyal, devoted, clean, intelligent, and compassionate.

The Worst: Shedding time! Hair... everywhere... lots of vacuuming and grooming.

Best knowing what storm came from and knowing where he is now.

Having him run up to me when I walk to his cage seeing him charge for treats. And knowing I am giving him the best possible.

Worst
Worrying about him. Knowing that his life spand is short and litter box cleaning. But hubby does that so I am glad
