Any vet that prescribes oral augmentin to a rabbit is not worth going to. It sounds to me like he either needs something like zithromax or a longer course of baytril.

Just wanted to give you an update. None of the other vets gave me a call back despite several calls I made. I decided not to give him the drops and I called my vet back. He said the second medication that he wanted to give me (which he was out of at the time of my appt) was baytril. I went to his office and got the baytril. Blue is now on a 15 day course so hopefully he'll perk up a bit. He is already eating more than he was. I plan to get some alfalfa hay and pedialite today and begin him on those as well. Thanks so much for your help. I really needed someone to confirm my concerns about the amoxicillin. I'll let you know how Blue does.

FWIW, When Hershey had a "cold", (running nose, goopy eyes, etc) it took 2 courses of azithromycin, then a course of Baytril to get rid of it. So it might take some persistance.
