I'm glad it worked out, and you know who it is now. It sounds like a flirty sort of thing, though. Like a modern pulling-the-pigtails. 
Sometimes I will get strange texts from numbers I don't know, and I'll have whole conversations with them, just making up stuff to say, until I get tired of it and ask who they are. Every time, it turns out to be a wrong number, they were meaning to text someone else but put in the wrong number.
I've never gotten a text from someone who said they could see me though, that would be scary!
