Well, it's been a very hot day today. It was in the mid 30*C ( Around 95*F, maybe less) and I'm so tired! I've been trying to stay cool and especially keep the girls cool! I'm a wimp with the heat, and it makes me extremely lethargic and very cranky.

I froze some watermelon, but it was too cold and hurt my teeth. I've been keeping in the nice cool basement and drinking lots of ice water. I also went for a nice cold swim at the pool :D. Any other suggestions about ways I can survive this week? It's supposed to be even hotter Sunday-Monday!

:sunshine:Nice and warm is ok, but it sure does make me pretty irritable!

I know where you are coming from Spring!! It has been sooo hot here and you'd think that being at work in air condition would be good, right? Well, its not, it is soo hot in there because our lobby is wall to wall windows:shock: And has high ceiling so the air condition doesn't circulate very well! And then its been so busy! All of us up front are tired and hot and very cranky!!!

Hot weather go away!!!

Arg, I know what you mean! It's 35*C/95*F right now. I'm dying, even my bunnies are handling this heat better than I am! I keep taking the sprinkler and misting them down, running cool water on their ears, giving fresh cool water, andthey get to be in theruns all day as long as I am home since ht ground is coolerand we built more shade for them. I felt so bad because I had to work from 10-2 so they had to stay in their hutch during the hottest part of the day.

This weather is so confusing, last year it was cold -- I had ice on bunny bowls in August. This last winter was very warm, and now it's blistering hot. I miss the old Canadian weather and I never thought I'd say this, but I miss winter! Especially since I worry less about the bunnies in winter, they handle the cold so much better than hear.

I'm trying to keep the girls cool, but their ears seem a bit warm. Pebbles LOVES when I pet her with cold hands and melts to the floor. They do love to lick their waterbottles as they thaw, although I haven't seen them laid against it. The basement is really cool, so I think they'll be fine.

*Runs off to get another popcicle!*

:run:

Head west, young girl, head west! :sunshine:

It's 5 degrees cooler here in the West End near the ocean than in your neighbourhood. What a difference a 30-minute drive can make.

Tell the folks it's time for a day (or three) at the beach!

sas:cool: and the cool buns :cool::cool::cool::cool:

Hehe i heard on the news that you guys are having a bit of a heat wave,

Hmm.. it's a what... 6 hour drive from the Okanagan? LOL.

My parents are heading west August 5th. I wont be going, I just cant bear to part with the bunnies! I've left them once in the 3 and a half years I've had them and it was horrible! Not to mention this heat is not something I'm willing to leave them with a stranger in.

Even if all I'm getting is the bunny butt, I can't part with them but if I did, I would certainly steal a few bunnies.

I know, I need to get to the beach. I'm a little late on my tan this year aswell! ;)

Hopefully, it's going to cool down to mid 20s. That would be nice. I'm trying to stay in the basement, but the computer is upstairs so I have to bite the bullet to post! I've probably eaten atleast 20+ freezies/popcicles in the last few days.. oops when dentist time comes!

Except, Pebbles being the little doorknob I've come to love, tries tosneak past me on thestairs wanting to come run around in the oven that we call the second floor, when she can do a flop on the chilly tile. I just don't get that girl! ;)

Frozen watermelon anyone? It's pretty good.. good with ice in juice! :D I froze a quarter of it for tomorrow :D

Pray winter comes early. LOL

I like summer because theres summer vacation but....I hate it for the heat and the heat kills things.I loooooooooooooove autum and winter.:inlove:

Today we set another record high, 34.1* C (93.4*F). Our average should be 24*C (75*F).
Last year we only had one or two days of 30*C, but this year we had at least 7-8 days of +30 temperatures.
Lucky for me,we had our new high efficiency furnaces installed two days ago, and the a/c feels
cold at times.

Rainbows! :D

I just popped home for lunch today (and to see my girls, of course!), and the temperature was 53C, or 127.4F. Now that's hot!!!

Of course the girls are indoors enjoying their AC while I have to suffer in the car! The temps are so hot that the AC in the car just can't cope and it blows out hot air...

I think it's starting to cool down where I am. It's still uncomfortable, but it's not enough to make me break out in a sweat when I come upstairs. I think the girls are getting irritated with the weather aswell. Pebbles is being more fiesty, and even sweet little Pepsi lunged and growled at my hand when I went to pet her! I'm trying to keep them cool, but their ears always seem very warm. They don't like the spray bottle or the frozen bottle, so I hope they'll be alright!

I looked fora fan yesterday for the bun room, but I couldn't find one single fan anywhere. I looked at a few places but the shelves where bare!

Note to self-Buy a fanin the fall!!

It's been so hot that no one wants to cook and I got a first hand experience last night. I work at the local grocery store andwe sold out of a TON of things -- black forest ham, honey smoked ham, some of the salads, chicken. We could not keep up. We also made 40 pre-cooked rotisserie chickens and they sold out in an hour. :thudLets just say it was quite a day to start on.

I'm amazed at how well the bunnies are handling the heat, nothing even remotely close to heat stroke has popped up *knock on wood*. Yesterday I was so worried that I called on every single one of my breaks to make sure they were ok.

ARG! I hate this weather oh so much.

Me too! I can't wait until it goes down to the 20's. I'm sick of the heat! I know, we've been eating out a lot when it's hot or bbq because we don't even want to think of turning on the oven!

Wow Hollie! 82 degrees doesnt seem so hot anymore! :D When its that hot, your air conditioning doesnt even cool below like 85 degrees or something!

Why doesnt everyone pack up and come to Michigan for a little holiday?! Basil, Max and Tumnus will be so excited!! :) It hasnt gotten over around 85 and we have great air conditioning! Plus its nice when you're by the water!!

Note to self: stay away from Bahrain!!

:foreheadsmack:You know it's bad when Michigan is cooler than most of Canada. I'm tempted to pack up and head south (and nap a few bunnies on the way).

It's finally cooling down here too!

I can keep my room cool, though, so my bunnies were fine.

Hopefully it will chill off enough for me to make some bunny cookies this afternoon! Bunny cookies, dog biscuits, people muffins... I've wanted to back fr a while but it's been too hot!

Ughh I wish I had a/c in my house! It gets so hot at times, not so much downstai rs but upstairs is sometimes unbarable! If this is the beginning of 'global warming' gosh help me in a few years!

I've been living off frozen things. I ate a handful of frozen peas the other day for something to eat!
