I just wanted to update and say that I'm walking. Today that was painful, but I'm slowly getting better! Here's a photo of the scar now...much less awful than it used to be!

Wow, that's a pretty good sized scar. But I'm glad your getting back to normal.

Hi there! Ive been in the same boot as you! I fell in February and had surgery and have been non-weight barring, PWB, had a second surgery, and just now starting to get back on my feet now.

however, it looks like from the pics you actually have all the hardware on your fibula (like me!). the tibia is the big bone, fibula is the smaller one.

here is to a quick recovery!

Im just so glad to see someone with hardware on their fib like me! most people I talk to may have broken their fib, but didnt need surgery, and the broken leg message board i went to was mostly tib people. heheh
