congrats!!! so exciting )

i've sent off all my graduate school apps so i'm anxiously awaiting :) i only applied to 9 though haha, not even close to your 20! geeesh!

msu & uofi are around schools i'm applying to so let me know if you get into them :)

I got into my 12th school today... Cornell.
I'm still thinking about it, but this is probably where I'll go! I'm so excited!
I'll be in CALS, majoring in Animal Science.

Sorry Bo, the only thing I don't like about Cornell is the climate/distance, and Purdue isn't much better than Cornell in those areas.
Davis has the climate I'm interested in, but I don't know if that's enough of a factor. That's what I'll have to decide if I get in there too.

Have you visited all of the schools too? I'm sort of specifically thinking of the dorms because being on a campus with a miserable dorm is not fun.....(of course - life is what you make of it too).

Also - I don't know how close you are to your family and how much you hope to come home for holidays, etc. Our family is very tight knit and our son's first major holiday away from home (Thanksgiving) was really rough. But Art had just retired from the Air Force and we were settling in w/ jobs and stuff and we couldn't afford to fly him home till Christmas....that first year was pretty rough on him. Then again - we'd homeschooled for 12 years and he has a twin sister that he was used to talking to about everything....

I'm dying to find out where you eventually decide to go...

Choosing the college after acceptance is the hardest part... well I was a little biased, so it wasn't THAt hard for me, haha (hate duke <3 unc). But grats on getting into your choices. I remember I cried when I got my acceptance packet to UNC. I was almost positive I was going to get in but seeing the reality? Oh god... :D:D:D:D And now 3 years later I live in CH and I'm dreading becoming a senior and taking the LSAT... *cry*

Grats!!!!! And when you're looking for a veterinary school, remember NC State! They have a GREAT program. I have a friend who was just accepted this year. She was soooo happy! :) You know, I never asked her, but do you have to take an LSAT MCAT type test for vet school? It's already super hard to get in, more stress is not what y'all need!! haha :)

And wow you applied a lot of places. I'm not jealous of your application fees, I feel like I'm already saving up for this December and law school, haha!!! But it's totally worth it since you'll get to go the place you KNOW is right for you with all of those choices!! :)

I spent 6 weeks at Cornell this summer. I only visited Cornell and UC Davis, LA & SD. I was planning to visit others, but I really wanted to go to Cornell.
The dorms aren't the nicest, but they're certainly doable.
I know I'll be far from my family, but I'll be able to come back over breaks and such. In terms of being able to afford it, my dad spends more time at work than anything else... I don't qualify for need-based financial aid, which is all Cornell gives, if that gives you an idea.
It's basically definite now that I'll be going to Cornell. I'm definitely excited. The best part was going to school and being hug-attaked by people.

I heard from my last school today, Tufts, where I was waitlisted.
I got into UC Berkeley for the spring semester. Other than that, I got into every where I applied, but I am still planning to go to Cornell.
I have to say, I'm going to miss getting this much mail.

personally, i am in LOVE with MSU. my sister goes there right now. LOVE IT. i am planning on going there too! the campus is really gorgous. if you want her email to ask her any questions, just pm me!

WOW congratulations! My auntie saysthe whole college thing pretty big over there people takeroad trips all over america to see a college FUN!:biggrin2:its seems alot more bigger than NZ, you see if you have enough credits in the write places and then they usually take you lol can your buns go with you??

How exciting! I didn't apply for QUITE as many as you- last year I applied to 9.
I also got into Cornell, but decided to go to AQ because they gave me a full-tuition scholarship :)
I would say to go with the school you like best over the climate, all that takes is a little adjusting. I've moved all over the country and while I definitely prefer some climates to others, I didn't find any of them intolerable.
PS- I was born in California, in Riverside.
