I've been searching everyday for awhile on Petfinder for a lop ear female bunny as a potential mate for my Vinny and today I found one that I think I've fallen in love with.:inlove::inlove::inlove:

I've placed the call and left a message. I'm anxiously awaiting their return call.:pinkbouce:

They are about 3 hours away from me though and I'm not sure my husband would let me go the distance. :(

I receive a daily email on all female bunnies that are new on Petfinder and here is the link to her:

Does anyone know anything about possible help with transporation at all?

Oh I think she'd be PERFECT for our Vinny---he deserves her, lol. :D

She is really cute! I hope it works out!

Ohh, she isvery cute. It looks like the rescue is in Clinton, NY, about an hour east of Syracuse. What is your location? Perhaps the rescue has some volunteers that can drive part of the way?

Well I heard back from the gal who runs the rabbit program there and this is what she emailed me:

"[font="arial, helvetica"]Hi - we just put JOYA on petfinder yesterday - she is a LOVE, little lovely healthy spayed and gets along with everyone, inlcuding did you see MR. MUGGLES? We were going to name her MRS. MUGGLES - she has been out with him and she is not aggressive nor well...umm aggressive towards other bunnies so she would probably bond with yours in a few days or hours. NOW... getting to how we get her there, its possible I could drive her up the thruway to an exit where I could meet you.
I could mail you the application, its a bit of paperwork, but we put everyone through it, and there is a donation fee of $35.00 if that is acceptable. Once again, you are saving a life here and getting a rabbit out of rescue. Came in only because family didnt want her anymore - so we could do some arranging to get her to you -
otherwise Id have to arrange something else, but Im sure I could find someone in a transport network. Hows that sound? If I can answer any more ?'s let me know - this way we can save on long distance calls unless I use my cell phone to call you if need be.
I will save her for you, Ill put adoption pending on her paperwork."

Wooooohoooo, I'm so excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm awaiting her response about the application. I asked if I could print it off from their website rather than wait for it to arrive in the mail. :D

So exciting!! I hope you can get her and she loves Vinny! I agree, she is a SUPER cute little girl.

Oh wow! That's a really positive response! I'm so excited for you!

She's sooo cute, I really hope it works out for you- Vinny would be soo pleased to have a girlfriend! :D

Fingers and paws all crossed here!

I think it's very much in your favor that you already have experience with rabbits. The adoption fee sounds very reasonable too for an altered rabbit.

I hope this works out well for you - $35 is an awesome price for a spayed rabbit.....we paid $50 for Zeus (and he's worth every penny) - plus the gas to go almost 900 miles round trip to get him....

So I think if they can meet you somewhere or something - this would be great!

She is adorable and sounds like such a sweetheart! I'm so excited for you. I'm sure things will work out great. $35 sound pretty darn reasonable if you ask me. :biggrin2:

Wooohooo, I just heard back from the gal in charge of the Rabbit Program at SPRING FARM CARES and please pray that this will work out---we MAY be getting her this Sunday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YES, that is in like 3 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She is checking with a friend to see if she can do it Sunday or not and she'll get back to me this afternoon. She is even willing to drive 2 to 2 1/2 of the 3 1/2 hours distance that she is from me! That means I'll only have to drive 1 to 1 1/2 hours which really is a blessing because we only have one vehicle and it is a 12 passenger van which means it is a gas HOG and with the gas prices being what they are, that'll be a small fortune in itself.

I am so excited I just cannot stand it! I've showed Vinny pictures of Joya on petfinder (I know, I'm weird lol) and telling him how beautiful she is.:inlove:

I've always wanted to use the name "Mia" for a female pet but I do like her name "Joya"...decisions, descisions! Maybe "Mia Joya".:ponder:

How awesome! I like the ring of Mia Joya...Nice!:bunnydance:

What a lucky bunner. I hope it all works out and that she is with you in...3 DAYS!!!:happyrabbit:

Oh yes---$35 IS an excellent price for a spayed bunny!

When we bought Precious, she was $35 but she was not spayed and she was a baby.

When we adopted Poodle & Prince, they were only $25 each and they were already spayed & neutered. THAT was an awesome blessing to be able to get them for such an inexpensive adoption fee!

WELL, IT IS A GO!!! We are scheduled to meet together on Sunday!:woohoo:yahoo::clapping:

I'm soo excited, can ya tell? (LOL):biggrin2:
