Ryan and I have been searching for a new house to rent because we want a better deal. Our current house is older for the area we live in (pretty much the crappiest on the road) and we are basically paying the $950/month to live in "the pines". We do have a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath, so we don't want any smaller.

So, we think we finally found the better deal! We live in Prescott, currently, but this house is in the next town over, in Prescott Valley. If we do get this house, it will be perfect because it is quicker to get to work, quicker to the movies & shopping centers & groceries, it is also about 4 minutes from Ryan's band's practice space....we can see the practice space from the back deck!

The house is gorgeous! It is sooo much nicer than our current house. It is a 3 bedroom 2 bathroom. The two bedrooms are kind of small, so Ryan is going to take the smallest for his computer/hang out room and the bunnies get the largest room out of the 2 bedrooms. It has a nice closet, too.

Ryan and I will take the master bedroom, which has a bathroom attached to it. The closet in the master bedroom is soooo huge, that I am going to use it as the "rat room" :). Even with using it as the rat room for my 2 boys, we will STILL have space to store a ton of stuff.

This house has very nice wooden window blinds, nice little front deck, GRASS AND A REAL TREE, nice back deck, small dog run, washer/dryer in a laundry room, attached 2 car garage, AIR CONDITIONING!, and soo much more! The kitchen is HUGE! It is in a very nice area AND there is a field along the back of the house and the left side....so not back neighbors or left side neighbors!

The coolest thing, too, is that my dad and step mom live literally 5 minutes away. This will be nice because we don't get to see them much because we currently live 40 minutes away and sometimes it is a hassle to meet up with our schedules.

The rent is $925/month, but we are going to be paying $975/month for the first 6 months because of a refundable pet rent. We will get the $600 ($200 per our 2 cats and our dog), providing they don't do any damage. The best part.....caged animals do not count :p.

We will sign a year lease (yeah, the Navy is being put off for a bit....long story).

Anyway, we went today and saw the house today and filled out the application for the house. We will hear back tomorrow if we get it. I will be sooo upset if we don't get it, arg, it is perfect, lol!

Here is the virtual tour of the house. It is soo much nicer than these pictures give it credit for:

That looks great! Really open. That closet is seriously as big as my old bedroom lol. It sounds really handy to everything! I hope you get it! It sound great!

Amy, are you still in a lease with the house you are in?

I hope you get this new place. It's awesome!

It looks awesome! It looks like it would suit you guys perfectly.

I'm still looking for the grass bit though :p. I see some dead looking yellow fluff! Is it that dry there?

Bo...our lease was up last month for the current house we are in, so it works out perfectly...providing we get this new house. If not, we will just go month-to-month until we find another one that is perfect for us.

Michelle....yep....those dead leaves laying upon the dead yellow grass :biggrin2:. It is dry here, yes, but it is "winter" right now...we just haven't had a snow fall yet....so it still looks like the autumn time here, now.

ETA: I was just sewing up some of my rattie bed orders and I noticed that I would love to have space in the new house (if we get it, argg) for my sewing table. I thought about it and the stinkin' master closet is sooo large that I could sew in there AND have the rats be in there....along with some of our storage stuff!

So those pics were taken in winter? I was thinking it looked real hot and dry like a desert haha! :p Sorry, I don't know much about seasons over there, because the grass is annoyingly lush long and green here all year round (so much lawn mowing :grumpy:).

I think the place looks great and sounds like it's in the exact right area.

My boyfriend and I are so jealous! A place like that would cost around $1500 a month here :grumpy:

Okay, so they said every thing is looking very good and we will know for sure tomorrow because we can bring them 1st month's rent tomorrow after work :).

omgsh, I'm in love with the house!
It is so cute, I love everything about it. The color of the walls gives it such a relaxing feeling. I hope you get it, fingers crossed!

That house is gorgeous Amy! So spacious and light looking! I love the huge kitchen/dining room with the sliding doors....

Fingers and paws all crossed here that you guys get it! :D

WE GOT IT :biggrin2:! We went today and paid $975 for first month's rent and $300 towards the security deposit. We just need to pay $625 more towards the security deposit, once we get the deposit back on the current house we are renting.

Luckily, they are so nice and are letting us pay $50 more per month for a year for the pet deposits, but we get them all back in the end (if my pets behave!!). She asked us if we wanted to pay $100 per month instead to pay off the pet deposits in 6 months, but upping the rent to $1,025 per month would be a bit steep for us!

We go in on December 26th to sign the lease and get the key! They are letting us start moving our stuff in like a week early since the house is vacant, which works out AWESOME! We won't have to rush to move and we will be able to have our current house totally vacant and ready for us to clean on January 1st. We hope we can talk our current landlord into giving us back the non-refundable $150 cleaning deposit if the house is spotless.

I can't explain how nice all these ladies are. It is a whole office of very nice women! They even sent us out the door with cookies and hot apple cider!

YAY!!! I'm so happy for you guys, congratulations!! :D

I don't envy you guys moving at Christmas though lol... Still, I guess you've got plenty of time to do it...

How nice that they gave you cookies and cider! Sound like my kind of letting agents lol :p
