I think Fraggles and Miss Mupper are going to be friends. (Hopefully)

Very exciting news! We let Fraggles meet Muppet face to faceyesterday with Muppet on her harness. Frags hopped over to her and I kept pushing her head down. Muppet completely flattened herself in front of Fraggles. When I felt OK that there was no aggresion I let Frags go and........She very slowly started to groom Muppets ears! I was in total disbelief. We let it last about 10 seconds before returning Muppet to her cage. We are very excited. Frags is very content right now stretched on her floor with no stress about the other bunny. Muppet is munching hay.
Today we again put Muppet on her harness (she is very good about it) and again Frags approached her. I petted them both at the same time and they got comfy and sat nose to nose. When I felt it was safe and Fraggles was relaxed I stopped petting and she buried her face in Muppets fur and they both closed there eyes! Then Muppet covered Fraggles head with her own. Noses barely wiggley and they were both super peaceful. I returned Miss.Muppet to her cage without incident. The REAL bonding will begin about a month after Muppets surgery. Frags is having surgery tomorrow :pray:and she will live in our room for a week afterwards. These little meetings are just test runs but honestly I have never seen fraggles behave like that with another bunny.
I did not allow her to run up to Muppet at all I just thought if I showed her she is not "the boss" then she might not act like a snot. I do think it helped because she did not even try to mount Muppet once. Plus Miss.Muppet also acted very quiet and submissive. :)
I think they are going to be sisters!!!!!:biggrin:

:woohoo:great::time:

So glad Fraggles finally found a friend! See, she just wanted to wait for the right bun to come along.

I will be thinking about her all day tomorrow. :pray:

:bunnyhug::woohoo Glad they're getting along!

~:pray:I'll pray Fraggles surgery goes well tomorow!

:clapping: yay! Glad too see it's going well :)

Haha oh I understand what's happening... You just don't want to share the overly adorable snuggle moment with anyone else cos it's too cute. :p Just Kidding!

Maybe once all the surgeries and what not has been sorted you can start a blog on the adventures of them starting to bond :D with loadsssss of photos might I add :hug2:

Glad to hear that Fraggles is accepting the new girl. It will be so much nicer for her to snuggle a fuzzy rabbit, rather than a wet Tattoo. Will be thinking about her and the surgery tomorrow, prayers for the little girl.

Curious as I am going to try bonding a 3rd bun to my bonded duo; you stopped the session when it was going SO well, why?

I understand Muppet needs surgery (am pushing all good Karma I have toward her) but if she didn't need surgery would you have let the date go on?

Best of luck to your family and really am looking forward to hearing how it all goes.

You always want to end a bonding session on a high note. This leaves the lasting positive impression in thier mind. If a fight broke out and they had to be split up then they would dwell on the negative and it would be harder to get them to get along later.

I'm guessing, Katie please correct if I'm wrong, that given Fraggle's history of humping and the fact that they are not fixed, it's better to be slow and cautious to the extreme. It was a positive interaction so stop and let them think about the good feelings when you can given the high chance of something going wrong.
