Yeah, being that she is at *least* 3, if she is deaf, it is most likely due to age.
You can tell, however, that she wasn't taken very well care of. One of my girl's is 3, and you can't even tell! Their lifespan is generally only around 2, as well. My girl (Snowball), suffers with an immune disorder, as well as a few other problems, but due to lots of love and care, she looks and acts like a youngin'! This new little gal, however, definitely looks rough.
I do have some sad news, however. Her upper respiratory infection is much worse today, and she is sitting in one corner huffing and puffing. I will be syringe feeding her in a little bit. She ate a little this morning, but she's not drinking much water.
I went to PetSmart this evening and found the perfect cage for her. The ramps and ladders are made of plastic, so they'll be easier on her feet. They also aren't as steep, which will make it easier for her to climb. She already has some trouble climbing, probably due to arthritis.
I am going to wait a week or two before I get the new cage, just because it is $60, and it's sad to say, but I want to make sure she makes it before I buy it.

I would go out and buy it anyways, but I am realllyyy low on money, and I just don't have it at the moment.
I must say though, she is definitely a little fighter!
