Our Sky box has been playing up recently- freezing left right and centre, crashing, skipping, losing our recordings, etc, so we had Sky come out to fix it.

He called yesterday and said he'd be here between 1-3pm today. So this morning I cleaned the kitchen, swept the floor, etc etc. At 12pm I sat down with a cup of tea, thinking I'd have that and then sweep up the living room before he arrived.

Noooo! :disgust:

At 12.10 he knocked on the door! You should have seen my living room. There was bunny poop EVERYWHERE. Barney and Snowy had been marking their territory all night and all morning. They'd dug out both litterboxes so there was litter, wet and dry, EVERYWHERE. There was even bunny pee in the corner right next to the TV unit!!

I could have died right there and then!!:shock:

:faint:

:cry1:

No I don't feel as mortified. I had the cable company come in replace a cable. They needed to access the attic which is in the closet in the bedroom. Needless to say the bedroom had poop and pee everywhere besides boxes that I still haven't unpacked. I just didn't clean in there.

ha ha ha Jenn dont you know you never sit down thinking that they are going to be later, now had you had everything sparkly clean the y would have showed up at four, lol!!!!!!!!!!

I have to ask what is a SKy box?

LOL! You are so right! I don't know why I decided to clean my kitchen first- he didn't even see that lol..... Actually, it was because I wanted to make a cup of tea :D

A Sky box is a satellite/cable box! Well, satellite really.... It's how we get our 'cable' channels- Sky is just the company. Although ours is Sky Plus, which means we can live pause, rewind and record TV channels- I could not live without it....

I think you guys call it something different but not sure what?

Here the company is called Comcast, or Direct TV, or as i like to call it PAin in the Rear, lol

i like the name Sky box it sounds much nicer then comcast.lol

Oh yeah I remember seeing Comcast adverts on TV when we were in San Francisco! *feels homesick for San Francisco*

Sky may be a nicer name but trust me they are no less of a pain in the rear lol! :p

Ahh poor Jen. I never had that happen but I can just see it coming. No wonder you aren't feeling well today you had the shock of your life:p

I have a Sasktel box that does all the cool stuff as well. Mine acts up when someone is downloading something from the internet.

YOU HAVE MYSKY!!! *Jealous haha, my dad has MYSKY and like saves all the CI channel programmes for me to watch when I go over hehe.

LOL about the poo, did he stand in any of it? The shade sail guys came round to fix the tension on the sail and the bunnies were running around and there was poo everywhere and they stood in it :D

He probably did stand in it, because Barney and Snowy were SO messy that the floor was literally like a poo carpet lol. I was so unprepared I hadn't put them back in their cage so Barney ran straight up to the guys feet and was sniffing arond him! :p

Possibly the funniest/scariest bit was that at the front door he stopped to put these little plastic covers over his workboots- presumably Sky make them wear them to protect customers' floors and carpets. Everytime he went outside he would take them off and then put them back on when he came back in! I just wanted to laugh because there really was no point at all!

*Edited to remove about 400 'lol's' that really didn't need to be there! LOL!

Oh MAN can I sympathize!! How many times has this happened to me? I've truly lost count! We sweep DAILY, and every single day, by the time we sweep, it's just as bad as it was before (think 8 buns right now...LOADS of mess). And it never fails...people show up at our door before we sweep for the day. NEVER FAILS! And it's so embarassing!! We try to explain that it's not gone undone for days...it's literally been less than 24hrs...but I don't think it's believed. LOL!!

So...yep...know the feeling all too well. Especially with Fiver Dollbaby...he's quite the pooper. I also sweep out his cage about once a week (sometimes I wait longer, though, because he gets REALLY upset), and overnight it's right back to where it was before I started!! LOL!

Those stinkers!!

Oh, it's just Murphy's law. You do it and they don't come and if you think you have a few minutes they show up early!

Eh, they'll just have a story to tell the other workers.... "this gal has bunny poops all over the place!"

I feel your pain. When we first moved to our house I set up pest control (we had awful earwigs) with the company that does our office at work. I live pretty close so the guy that does our office was going to come by and spray my house. He was supposed to be by between 10-12 Saturday morning. Well, my girlfriend was coming over to hang out, we were going shopping after the exterminator came. 9am that morning.....let me set the scene: Me, no make-up, hair in a towel and I wearing Chris' ratty boxer shorts and a holey t-shirt, no bra (and BELIEVE me, I need a bra!). My doorbell rings, thinking it was my friend I run downstairs and fling open the door. It's the exterminator, the guy I have to see at work. I was wishing that the floor would open up and swallow me!

I have most of the upstairs of this house for my animals and me. it used to be a rental so there is a kitchen in it.

I have Daisy and Penn in a huge enclosure in the main room with a large parrot cage( and the parrot of course). the tv is in that room.
Then I have 4 large enclosures in a separate room ( the rabbit room)
The only other thing in the room is my desk and computer with 4 rabbits behind me.

I also have 2 cats wandering about. the old cat, Sparta , has accidents so I am always picking up after her.

I really really hate myself that I am so embarrassed that I have all these animals. even when it is neat and clean (as much as possible) it just looks ridiculous up here and I hate myself for being such a conformist that it matters to me who sees it (but it does)

The only people that get up here are other rabbit people.
my husband likes to stay downstairs most of the time with the 2 dogs. ( too much clutter for him up here)

if I think that a workman or someone has to come up here and it is sprung on me I really almost have a heart attack.
if only we were judged by the people that we are.
I just think that the people on this forum are the kindest most wonderful people that I could ever want to dream about knowing ...

and yet other people judge things like our rabbits and the numbers that we have and how our houses look....:(

I am so glad I am not the only one...

It does seem silly to get embarrassed when you think about it- it's my house and some stranger is invading my privacy! Why should I be worrying about it? I remember last year after my operation when our landlord wanted to put our house up for sale and sent estate agents round left right and centre. I had flu at the time as well and was in agony but I killed myself for days tidying every little corner and putting everything in it's place.... Just so some guy could walk through, measure some walls and walk back out again! :X

I wonder if we're all going to have sparkly clean houses after tomorrow when the forum is down though.... I have a feeling I'm going to get a lot of cleaning done through the boredom! :D

If a real estate agent needed to go through a house then you Would have to make it look nice as the price would depend on their assessment.

if we ever sold this house it would have to be after we already bought another house and I had moved all the animals. :)
A lot of rabbits look messy even if everything is clean .

LOL! True! and we have a big snowstorm coming. BUT I didn't work today either cause I have still got swelling and pain and not supposed to do a lot for a few days.... so if I can work tomorrow I might.....

Iask what is wrong with hay strung around my familyroom? NIC cubes stacked for a new venture in building, and baby toys all over the floor?
