I think I might have to go back and see if I have a secondary tonsilitis or something. Honestly, I sound like I'm snoring while I'm awake my throat is that small! :?

Is it normal for your ears to hurt? I shudder to even type this, but I feel like someones drilled right through the middle of my head, my ears feel like they're about to burst

I think there's so much pressure on the ears they do start to hurt, I know my brother was always complaining about his ears hurting too.

I'm sorry, I must sound like such a moaner now!

But I've had less than half an hour's sleep all night. It's nearly 6.30am now, and I had to get up. When I lie down, I can't breathe properly, my throat almost feels like it's closing in. I kept having to sit up to try and clear my throat, which is agony. I can't swallow paracetomol, so I've had to get up and make a Lemsip (paracetomol and lemon drink), but now that I'm sat up, my ears are hurting again! :X

I've had tonsilitis, flu, and colds before, but jeez, they were NOTHING in comparison! :shock:

I went to the doctor earlier. I just couldn't take another night of not being able to sleep and nearly choking. My tonsils are so ridiculously swollen you can barely see down my throat, and they're all red with white pus over them (sorry if that's too gross for anyone...).

But the doctor didn't think I have a secondary infection, get this- because I don't have bad breath?!! I know it's a symptom of it but surely not the be all and end all? She wanted to take a swab, then when the results are back on Thurs/Fri give me antibiotics as necessary. I expained again that I'm having extreme difficulty in breathing, and she put me on antibiotics for the time being, which she said I can stop taking if the swab comes back clear. She's not my usual doctor.... I didn't like her! :X

My mum's made me a beef stew and put it in the oven so all we have to do is eat it later, if I feel up to it. I'm hoping I do. Bless her...

Do you have popcycles? those would be good to help with the swelling in your throat.

LOL!!! The thing is I actually cleaned my teeth for the second time, even though it was agony, as I knew they'd be poking around in my mouth lol! :rollseyes Can't win!

I don't have popsicles no.... We call them ice lollies over here! I was going to send Steve out for some but he didn't seem up for it... ice-cold water goes down ok though..

AND! I ate something! I had some stew! Only a very small bowl, and it was agony, but at least I got some food down

I really hope I can get some sleep tonight! :?

Sooo, I've been up since 4am... I think I managed about 20mins total of sleep in 4 hours, but I kept waking up and not being able to breathe properly, so I got up. I tried sleeping sitting up, and with tons of pillows, but even that didn't work :cry1:
