Amy, I thought that was how it should work. But why does my nearly black Mocha have light pink skin?

The color you see now is the fur coming in (Ibelieve), the babies I had were all grey-ish colored when they wereborn, and now they have pink skin under their furas well

I'm not sure if that's it. You can see in myavatar how pale the insides of her ears are, and her belly matches thatsince it's shaved at the moment. Her undercoat is gray, so I wonder ifthat's why she has pale skin? I'm not sure what her color istechnically called. Do true black rabbits have black skin?

Edited: I need to sleep. I reread what you wrote and it makes more sense now. Do all rabbits have light skin?

I dont think so....I have never seen a rabbit with black skin. I may be wrong though.

Thanks, Amy. I'm more used to seeing the skin on horses and such where the skin matches the hair.

No worries, I'm excited to see what all thebabies look like, and I checked on them this morning and everythinglooks good. The hair offthe topwas moved off andthey look fed, so I'm really proud of my first time mom. The only thingI'm worried about was they are all very wiggly except this little greyguy, he is really slow. Is he just tired? They are all really warm andfed so I don't know what would be wrong.
