I had a slight accident about a month ago, ran into a semi, all that fun stuff.

And today, after the car people fixed it. They only made my dad pay half the deductable. AND... They painted my hood and front bumper!! Last winter a friend and I had a slight bumper kiss on an icy road and the hood needed to be replaces as did the front bumper. So my dad replaced the parts, but from a SILVER Malibu. So my car was silver and gold for ages. But they repainted it, for free!! These people were AWESOME.

Thankfully it was just me and two of my friends in the car. Everyone was fine, we weren't going very fast.

But do you see how the car is sitting on the grass on the curb? We were heading the OTHER way. He clipped us and spun us around and up over the curb thankfully into an empty lot.

:thud:

I'm sure that was quite a ride! To quote King Julius from Madagascar:

"Put your hands up, Maurice! It's more fun this way!"

Wow, they did a super job! :thumbup

I'm glad you all walked away unharmed.

so glad that you were ok, they have done a really great job with your car it looks as good as new! I remember when I was in a head on crash with my parents, it was really scary, the car was a write off!

Glad everyone was ok. I hate car accidents. Your car looks great- the after pic's, LOl.

:)...April

I was sooooo happy that they were able to fix it... Cars get totalled so easily. I only paid like 5,ooo for the car, so I was worried they would, which would have SUCKED because I love it so much. I love it even more now that it looks like that, haha!!

Oh yay! And it looks SO BEAUTIFUL!! How long did it take them to fix things?

And how cool of them, to paint the front for you...that's awesome. :)

It took them a month... I'm not exactly sure why it did but you know, now it doesn't seem to matter, haha.

It wasn't a fun month because I had to borrow my sister's old Cavalier, my wife's old Lexus (it's not new and cool! LMAO) or my roommate's Jeep (which actually is pretty sweet, so that wasn't so bad). But it's nice to have MY car back and not need to ask to use someone else's car.

It was REALLY nice of them to paint the front... My dad asked them how much it would be to paint the front and they said 300, so dad was like "Well when I get back from Afghanistan we'll come back here and have you guys paint it" and then they painted it themselves, for free. That's what's nice when you live in a rural kind of place, when you say "Oh I'm going to Iraq/Afghanistan" it's a BIG deal and people really are thankful and appreciative, and do stuff like that sometimes. My dad said he's taking the shop owner out for a beer when he comes home, haha!!

That's awesome, and it's always a great reminder that there are still wonderful, caring, selfless people in the world. :)

And I know what you mean...borrowing other people's cars is interesting, and a nice thing to be able to do...but nothing substitutes having your OWN. :)

So many cool things happening to you lately! :D

I know what you mean, I feel kind of like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop, you know?

We just got back word that the wife passed her boards with flying colors! So much awesome lately.

YAYYY!!! Sounds to me like you're doing something right...

To quote the song:

"It must be love...love, love!" :D
