Aww Becca I'm sorry you still feel rough! Maybe you should get your mum to take you back to the doctors? It's been going on pretty long now for a virus! :?

I'm off school again today - Just been to the doctors, she gave me a throat swab - which was horrible it made me gag :X- Then said I had to go for a bloodtest so we went straight away, I don't get the results until Thursday :grumpy:

So at the moment I am sitting in bed. STILL :grumpy:

She's still not over it now ... it's left her feeling very tired and feeling generally "unwell" but she can't pinpoint where this unwell feeling is coming from.

It's easier said than done to rest, especially whenthe work load at school these days means you have to carry on working at home more than ever.

Becca, did they tell you what they did the blood test for? I sincerely hope you haven't got Glandular Fever like me, I wouldn't wish that on anyone! :? Are your glands in your neck still swollen?

I had a throat swab done last week too- it's horrible when your throat is hurting so much isn't it? I expect it wouldn't be too bad when it's not but then you wouldn't need to have to swab lol... :?

You need to get plenty of rest, tuck yourself up on the sofa with a duvet, a DVD and a bunneh :)

Thanks Jen and Saffy, They said I need to have the blood test to check I haven't got glandular fever :?I hope I havent :(Mum says I have to stay in bed today, I am waiting for my DS to come - it should come today :grumpy:

I'm about to have some bread and butter, I'm starving :biggrin2:

Eeeek, you poor thing- I really hope it isn't Glandular Fever! Is your neck still swollen? I may have asked that earlier, I can't remember sorry!

It's good that you've still got an appetite though- eat what you can that's healthy! :)

Did your DS arrive?

Yeah..... nausea is one of the symptoms :? I still feel nauseous now and I keep throwing up, but that's mostly cos of the really strong antibiotics I'm on I think...

Here's the NHS article on Glandular Fever- there's a list of symptoms there.... Don't worry about it too much though, because you might not have it! Hopefully you don't... I don't want to worry you!

Until I started the antibiotics, no I wasn't sick, I just felt like it all the time! So hopefully you wont be! Did the doctor not say that you should stay home from school?

TELL me about it! The one I saw last week didn't think I had tonsilitis, and then I ended up being hospitalised the next day- due to...Tonsilitis! I really wanna go back and say HA! Told you so! :X

Hot water bottles are good! Steve went out and got me a new blanket when I got sick, it's from Ikea and it's turquoise and sort of padded- sooo nice! :)

I couldn't get to sleep last night :(So here I amed again off school, all lonely in my bed:(Ikept panicing that my throat was closing up and I couldn't stop shaking.
