Molting can be a stress factor that can contribute to illness. However, molting can also be a secondary symptom of illness.

Best to have a vet evaluate the situation. For now, squirting a little vitamin E on the tongue can help with GI issues. The vet may also want to administer a hydrating fluid since your little guy isn't drinking.

Time to get to the vet!!

I think hydration is now to be a concern and would best be addressed with sub-q liquids.

And they can also find out if it is a GI infection that may require antibiotics....or x-ray if a blockage is suspected.

I would be forcing liquids....even if it's just plain water. Fresh pineapple juice if available.

A pellet slurry will get something in their gut that's familiar. Some recommend canned pumpkin. IMO....Oxbow Critical Care would be the most beneficial (use the fresh pineapple juice instead of water it mix it....credits to Randy)).

A dose of simethicone will help if there's gas. It will create a bit more room in the gut by breaking down the little bubbles.

his tummy is no longer bloated or hard he got loads of tummy rubs

I hope he know how much I love him

You're doing good with the liquids. Give as much as he'll take, but remember to go slowly so he won't get any in his lungs.

Fresh pineapple and/or juiceis what's suggested for stasis - also canned pumpkin. I went through this with Toby and he hated both of those. We had pumpkin everywhere.

You're doing good. Keep us posted.

I home treated for two days before I was able to get Chippy to the vet.
We had 3 sessions of food and drink each day.
Even if it was only 10 cc at a time, at least it's something.

The first couple of sessions she didn't struggle at all. After that I could tell she was getting some strength back because she starting fighting the treatments.

back to his old self thank god!

I think he is not drinking enought water & this is what is making him go into his spells for a better word so now he had 2 crocks in his cage + his waterbottle& a big bowl of water when he is out of his hutch roaming in his free space

thanks for asking

Kathy
