Erik is hopping around, taking his Laxatone (with much disapproval) and has passed some more poops. Tomorrow and Sunday he will continue to get at least 100 CCs of SQ fluids, probably into Monday or Tuesday. He is eating some Nibble Rings and some other things. HOPEFULLY he will eat his greens when I feed him after he's done licking this bit of Laxatone off of his paw.

I'd take some pictures but he looks really scruffy right now.

We're lucky we caught it now, before the gas set in. Still no bloating or distension. I gave him a tummy rub. He didn't seem to enjoy it, but didn't fight either.

Someone told me that the subQ fluids cause a water lump sometimes.... is that true?

Well, they can make a little lump under the skin when you first put the fluids in, but that gets absorbed.

I'm glad Erik is feeling better! Maybe it's time for a full-body shave? LOL

Bo, yes they cause a "lump" to form when they're first given, but that goes away after a little while.

Erik is doing much better. On Wednesday we are going to take some more Xrays and see how much it's cleared up.
