I read the instructions on the side of the bottle lol
It said animals 1-5lbs get 1 level teaspoon of powder. So I gave him that with pumpkin. He's gobbling it up right now :D
Kirby doesn't need any pumpkin but he gets all worked up when he smells Toby eating, so I gave him some plain pumpkin too. :)

4 hrs isn't too long to go without pooping. I'm glad you got him to eat some pumpkin and Bene-Bac. Alfalfa is another good hay to mix in--I do that occasionally, even for my adult guys, and they go NUTS for it.

He ate the alfalfa up and didn't touch the other hay. He ate all his greens and he was lured back to his pen by dried banana so he is not totally disinterested or in pain. Just a slowdown I guess. The benebac is helping. I hand fed him more bluegrass and he ate some of that but not much. He nibbled some alfalfa pellets but again, he's not eating what he usually does. Maybe only about half his usual pellets. he pooped a pile of little ones, which is better than nothing.

Benebac bottle says feed 1 teaspoon every other day for a week then 1 teaspoon per week. Does that sound right for treatment of gut slowdown? Or is that the dosage for just probiotic for young who should be nursing with benebac as a supplement?

I just give the Bene-Bac as needed. That may mean every day for a while, while he's got issues, and then you can just stop once he's better.
