Hi everyone, I posted a few weeks ago seeking advice after my rabbits mate died. I have, of today, managed to find hima beautiful new girl!! :D

I was just wondering how much vegetables I should give 2 adult lop rabbits each day...currently I give them mixed vegies every morning and night, but I'm worried I'm not giving them enough.

Also, I bought them an open-bottomed run today to let them explore on the grass - untreated wild garden grass is fine for them to eat, yes?

Thanks in advance for replies!!

I believe the rule of thumb is 1-2 cups of chopped greens/veggies per rabbit per day. Introduce new vegetables slowly assome can cause gas, especially cabbage, broccoli, cucumber, radish leaves, etc.

Untreated grass should be just fine for them to eat. I'm sure they'll love spending time out of doors! :)

Hope that helps!

We give ours twice a day too. Our small rabbits get 1/2 cup while the large get a full cup times two. Our Small one weighs 3 1/2 pounds and our big girls weigh 13 and 18. We did cut back on two of our mid size bunnies as they were getting messy and had to be cleaned with baby wipes. Cutting them back worked out great.
