How Long for Simethicone to Work?

Is there a rule-of-thumb regarding the length of time togive Simethicone to do its work (until a bun shows improvement)?

Update: I may have my answer; Emma is now eating hay, after receiving three doses of Simethicone since 9:45 am today. (I'll continue to give her Simethicone every 4-6 hours, until she can get in to see the vet tomorrow.)

I'm sorry no body has responded that knows. I would think about 45 minutes to an hour to get the full effect.

It starts to work within minutes, and the effects last for approx. 3 hours.

As it turns out, I was giving my girls too low of a dose earlier yesterday; as such, I didn't notice a huge difference in their comfort levels--until I raised the dose to 1 cc.
