Yep, I'm in Ottawa too. Though in the pic, the road actually was plowed. It's a side street, thus it never does get the salt truck running through, and so from the first snowfall right through to the final one, we never see the street itself...just a white layer of snow/ice/slush.
Seniorcats, I think that's the same storm we're getting here today. Did you get the full brunt of it yesterday?
Eek, So much snow!.
We got stuck on Aviation parkway (a mini highway) and my mom had to put her 4-ways becasue the truck behind us was honking and my mom was stuck and it was a 1 lane because of and accident. I actually started to cry I was so scared, You couldent see anything becuase the wipers were full of ice so we dint use them much.
It started yesterday around noon. I made the mistake of going out to Marc's to get bunny greens. The roads were unsalted and unplowed. I was only driving 25 mph and still couldn't stop to turn up Stoney Hill. This is a rural are, lots of open fileds and blowing and drifting. It let up a bit last night and started later this morning. So far we have 6 inches of snow, 45 mile an hour winds and a layer of ice under all of it. It probably is the same storm since I am just south of Lake Erie. The plow cam by twice last night but not today. Maybe 2 cars have been on the road all day. heck, I can't even tell where the road is.... Forgot to say part of the old barn roof blew off taking a little of the barn under the eaves with it. What a mess.
Oh, okay. That sure is neat! Thanks for sharing it.Sorry, I can't take the cridit. It was actually done by someone in Cleveland.
