I had to get rid of my last bunny because she had a severe wound that I couldn’t treat because I couldn’t afford it so I bought a new one and my new one is kind of skiddish, I want her to be comfortable and cuddle with me so that we could form a bond but im not sure how, she won’t take treats from me or anything - any advice? I just want my bunny to love me:(

Took years for some to establish trust and a comfort level due to their former background/s.

Age? Altered? Small breed, large breed?

I recommend letting go of the notion that you can "make" a rabbit want to cuddle with you. I think for many rabbits, after establishing a level of trust with their owners, they will like cuddling to an extent, but there are definitely rabbits who trust their owners and simply don't enjoy the whole cuddling notion. If anything, they will tell you when to pet them, on their terms-- not yours.

In my experience, although it seems opposed to what you want, I think getting closer to your rabbit means respecting its space-- demonstrate that your presence doesn't mean 'something' is going to happen to your rabbit. Rabbits are prey animals, so if you are constantly approaching your rabbit and trying to interact, that is naturally going to generate some anxiety in your rabbit. Humans are huge and rabbits can see that clear as day! We are large predators.

I know I can’t “make” her cuddle with me it’s more like the notion or hope of her doing it , I respect her space I’ve mostly been letting her come to me and I’ve been getting down on her level if that makes sense ? Like lying down on my stomach mostly ignoring her till she asks me to do so otherwise or shows body language that she wants me to pet her if that also makes sense more
