How do I litter train my two rabbits?

I have had my rabbits for about one and a half year and I have finally decided to litter train them. Usually, whenever my rabbits use the bathroom on the carpet, I clean it all up. Now, since they are already used to using the bathroom wherever they want and me picking up after them, can they be litter trained? How should I do it? Also, what should I do when Im not nearthem such aswhen Im at school?

We use a litter box full of shredded paper and a couple with kiln dried pine. Put them in places they normally go. Another way is to put a litter box inside of a cardboard box with holes cut in both ends and a lid--gives them a place to hide out and do their business.

And when they make a mistake, put some of it into the litter box to help them understand its purpose.
