So I've finally gotten around to moving some of my pictures from my vacation in November off the camera and onto the computer.
I got a new camera lens before I went on the trip, and can I just say that it was the BEST investment I've ever made. Almost all my photos look like postcards - it was so hard to trim them down. I think I took like 700. (Thanks Pet_Bunny for confirming my NEED to get this lens!). lol.
But here are a couple that came out nice..
This was the view from the top of the spanish steps in Rome out toward some cathedral or the other.
This was in the Roman Forum
A couple pictures I took while we were driving along the Amalfi coast toward Positano
This is "The Rape of the Sabine Women". It's always been one of my favorite sculptures, so I loved seeing it in person. This was in Florence. Imagine being able to chip a slab of marble into this. Isn't that phenomenal.
This was the cathedral in Pisa. It's the church the the leaning tower is the bell tower for.
This is in Monaco. It's a bunch of condos where you can park your yacht outside your front door.
This was in Paris (obviously)
And this is the inside of the Notre Dame cathedral
