I am wondering if anyone here makes juice? And what juice machine do you use?
I got a juice machine about a year and a half ago from my SIL, but I don't really like it. It's a Hamilton Beach Big Mouth Pro. Big, noisy, and messy. Mine now leaks juice and pulp underneath the cutter basket, which is really difficult to clean out, since that part doesn't detach and I can't run it under water.
I don't use it much anymore, since it's so difficult to clean. I didn't use it a ton to begin with, though, since I'm not rich I can't afford the tons of fruit needed to make large quantities of juice, and the machine is so big and messy it's not really worth hauling it out to make one glass of juice.
I was looking at getting a Breville, they make a cute little "junior" model. I really want the bigger one with variable speeds, but I think it's more than I need for occasional juicing. I really love Breville products, I have their removeable-plate grill (works *way* better than a George Foreman), and I got myself their electric kettle for Christmas. (Coupon+store credit= less than half price.) Both are wonderfully designed and work like a dream.
(I just wish Breville still made the Pie Magic. I would eat pie every day!!!)
I wasn't planning on replacing it until later in the year, but the Breville "junior" is on sale now at Best Buy.
Any opinions appreciated!
