Welcome Julie!

The RO Library here is full of excellent information, you will find everything you need to know there. :) A good vet who is experienced with rabbits should be able to help you determine the sex of your bun, and the people in the Rabbitry section here may also be able to help out.

To put up pictures, you should join an Image Hosting site (eg Photobucket, it's free) and here is a visual guide to help out. :)

Welcome to the forum, Julie! Rocket is an awesome name, I love that:).

There have been some issues with Photobucket lately, they had a hacker, so sometimes the site doesn't work. Just in case you can't get it to work another site some on here use is tinypic.com. I just found another one in case you need it:

freeimagehosting.net

Best of luck with the pics! Let us know if you need any help.

Again, welcome!

I have Rocket as my pic

he is so cute :p

I have tons of questions, the one i am kinda worried about right now

is i dont think he is drinking, i havea water bottle on the side of the cage (doesnt look likethe water level changed)

and tonight i put a bowl of water in with him what should i do?

Thank you for the welcome everyone :D

Hmm, maybe he isn't used to a water bottle, but a bowl? Mine have a bowl, so that could be it. You could run out tomorrow and get a clip on bowl for the cage. I do think that they will drink out of a bowl clipped to the cage as opposed to a bottle. All my buns have loved them!

Hopefully that works. Keep us posted on that though, for sure!

:wave:Welcome to the forum. Thats a great thing you did by bringing Rocket into your house. House rabbits don't survive very long in the wild. All of my rabbits use bottles and what I do, so I can check water levels, is add a drop of food coloring to the water. Yellow doesn't work too well as you cannot see it very good. With the recent addition to my herd, I placed a bottle in his cage and tapped on it so a drop hung on the end until he licked it. He caught on quickly, but like others have said he/she may be used to a bowl.

If you haven't done so already, stuff a toilet paper tube with hay and place it in his/her cage. Hay is good for Rocket and the cardboard tube will give Rocket something to chew on.

Some good toys to use are cat balls with the bell in them, plastic baby keys, old prescription bottles with a few kernels of popcorn inside to make noise, small unfinished wicker balls.

Hope this helps and :great:its great that you gave Rocket a loving home.

Don't hesitate to post any questions, we all love to help each other out. Feel free to send mea PM if I can help further.

Dave
