Let me welcome you to Rabbits Online, my name is Dave and I am a moderator on the forum. So if I can be of any help please let me know. This is a terrific website for rabbits and their slaves, not only is it very active but also friendly. I am so glad youâre here and I know you will enjoy it.
My daughter is in 4H here in currently wet northern Indiana. Its a great program.
Well what tip to share first, well don't feed the bunny any food with corn, seeds or other colored things in it. A good plain bunny pellet is best. Provide unlimited hay to the bun, now some rabbits are picky. I have a french lop that picks through his hay to get at certain tasty pieces. I personally prefer water bottles as opposed to crocks and the water is always clean. I also put a drop of food coloring in the water to make it easier to see how much is in the bottle. Don't give iceberg lettuce to the bun as this will cause the bun to have diarrhea. Romaine, turnip greens, red or green leaf lettuce, collard greens are ones my buns love, along with parsley. Carrots are very sugary, so only give little pieces. Dried banana, cranberries or yogurt treats are good. Like most treats give sparingly.
I don't want to overload you with info, but don't hesitate to ask any questions.
