Help!

A few days ago I received two rabbits as a gift for me and my brother, one black and another white. Though we quick found out that they both seemed to have cuts and welts. I say cuts and welts, but frankly we have no idea what they are. The black one has a particularly alarming "cut."
What is it? What do I do about it? Please help us out.

I can't make out what I'm seeing. Perhaps @JBun will recognize it.

Do you know their ages? Are they kept together? Do you know anything about their background (like neuter status)?

Are they both fixed? It looks like maybe they been nipping/biting at each other to me, but I could be wrong.
