Your bunny very much appears to be a lionhead! :) Taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rabbit_breeds]Wikipedia:

"Is one of the newest breed of domesticated rabbits. It has particularly long hair surrounding the face, which reminds one of the mane of a male lion[/url"]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lion]lion, hence the name. Other characteristic traits of the lionhead include a rounded head and small size, usually between 2.5 and 3.5 pounds. It also tends to have slightly shorter ears than most breeds.

The Lionhead rabbit originated in Belgium. It is reported to have been produced by breeders trying to breed a long coated dwarf rabbit by crossing a miniature Swiss Fox and a Belgian dwarf. The Lionhead seemed to have been more popular than the long coated dwarf, and so breeders carried on this trend in breeding them intentionally, and so came what we know today as the Lionhead rabbit.

The breed has been recognised by the British"]http://www.thebrc.org/lionhead.htm]British Rabbit Council, however as of yet it is not a recognised breed in the US."

If you're a Disney fan, you could name him after a character in The Lion King: Mufasa or Simba. ;)

Sure it's a boy, right?

How about Courage, or

Leon (spanish lion),

Griffon (the mythical creature was an eagle and lion combined - very strong!)

Aslan (The lion in The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe)

Neo (like the guy in the movie The Matrix)

Ash (he looks sort of slate colored and that's the color of ashes)

Storm (his color looks like one)

Sage (wise)

Those are some that came to mind when I saw him! Congrats! He's absolutely adorable!

oohh i like griffen! He is definetly a jersey woolie i got him from i registers breeder and we dont have lionheads in NZ :)

Awww He's so cute! I liked Griffen/Griffon also. I think that's a cute name for a bunny boy.

He does look like a lionhead but the lionhead came from small wool breed crosses! He's so cute! How's his personality ?

I have seen lots more pics of him, doesn't look anything like a lionhead in the other pics so must just be that one! :D

Griffon is a cool name :bunnydance:

So do we get to see more pics of him??? :waiting:

I think his mane is what is fooling everyone! He's so cute! I love that silvery color on him!

My camera has flat batteries but as soon as it has new ones i will upload more pics :) His colouring is sable. He is still quite shy but i think that might be because he has come from a breeder and maybe they dont get handled as much? i could be wrong but he is so much more relaxed when he is out running around with my other rabbit harry, they do some impressive binkys LOL.
