I purchased one of my rabbits from a Pet Store and they had noooooooooo idea what type of rabbit Waffles is. Waffles weighs 2.5 lbs.

She is white with black spots. 4 months old.
She is 16 inches around.
11.5 inches from her nose to her tail when she sits in her regular position
She is 5 inches from the top of her head to

Here are pics of her from different angles.

Thanks for any help =]

Black Mamba (originally named London) is a 1-2 yr old female. I met the owner a week ago on craigslist and she said she was moving to a smaller place that would let her take dogs and a bunch of reptiles, but not a rabbit o_O. She is the sweetest, most friendly rabbit and unfortunately was owned by someone that didn't spend much time with her. Her nails were so long I thought she could be related to the guiness book world record holder for longest nails.

Black Mamba weighs 4.5 lbs. She is black. Very large eyes. She has a big dewlap.
She is 12 inches from her nose to her tail.
She is 16 inches around.
She is 5.5 inches from the top of her head to the floor.

:biggrin2:

I don't see any identifying features, they are probably mixes.

Waffles looks very thin, and Black Mamba looks a little on the thin side too. Have they been to see a vet for a general check up when you got them? What are you feeding them currently?

I know how to take care and how to feed my rabbits thank you... I asked for help identifying a breed not for advice on their diet. Everyone says Black Mamba is chubby and waffles is still a baby.

My rabbits are active, healthy, and happy. :). I am just guessing on their weights based on what I feel in my arms.

Black Mamba looks like Felix on the list.

Waffles looks like a dwarf hottentot with the markings around the eyes.

Chico and Chica that I have which are going to be 2 years old June 9th both weight 2 and a half pounds and are dwarf agouti/ netherland mixes.. I feed the heck out of them! They were just at the vets last month! Just an FYI..

No matter what they are they are both very cute.

My little mutt babies Lol. They have dwarf faces and different bodies.

Hey there

I *only* say dwarf on Waffles because of her weight. If she gets bigger, then heck no, she is a regular hottentot.

I need to get off my duff and look up what Felix is!
Ok he's a Netherland Dwarf but that doesn't mean they can't weight past the weight limits for the breed either.

My Lady is a Holland/ Mini Lop and she is eating like a pig and is now 5 and a half pounds, past the 4 pound weight 'limit' for the breed...

Don't make her any less of a Lop!

I love your 'mutt babies' and I don't think of any rabbit as being a mutt. I have my 11 pound mix of whatever she is English Spot/ Checkered Giant and she is close to 12 pounds and growing!

Vanessa

Both look like mixes and Waffles looks like there is some Hotot in the DNA. Maybe some Havana in the Momba mix. All of ours are rescues, so very few are "pure" anything except pain in the neck. We are just working on healthy and happy. We have a few Mini Rexes and one Checkered Giant but the rest are just happy little "mutts".
