Hi Everyone my name is Caitlin,
I am new to bunnies. I’ve always had pets all my life and after doing a lot of research have ended up with not 1 but 4 bunnies ‍♀️[emoji23]
So that means I currently have 2 dogs, 1 cat and 4 bunnies.
All 4 are Netherland dwarfs
10 week old self black girl called Asha ( I know not very original)
10 week old Agouti boy called Ace
9 week old Opal boy called Dusty
8 week old blue girl called LouLou

My questions!
I currently feed unlimited Timothy hay is this ok given they are aged between 8-10 weeks old.
I feed unlimited pellets should I be restricting it?
They were been given greens before I got them so I have been continuing them is any green lettuce besides iceberg ok?
What are some good greens and how much should they have?
Is there a set amount of fruit they should have?
Anything else I should know?
What age should boys and girls be separated, what age can they get pregnant?

I’m so in love with their personalities and just how different they are!!!
May be needing some advice at times as research online is no where near as helpful as other owners personal experience!!

Hello and welcome to the forum.

Unlimited timothy and unlimited pellets is fine at this young age.

Since they are already used to greens, it is also fine to continue. This link will have a list of greens that are safe to introduce. (Any new greens need to be introduced a little at a time as explained at the link.) Romaine, green leaf, red leaf are all acceptable lettuces.

Skip any and all fruits until they are older...about 4 months of age or later. Fruits are treats and are not necessary. They run the risk of imbalancing their gut flora because of the high sugar. When they are older, they should get no more than 1 tbsp worth of a fruit on any given day.

They should be separated at 10 weeks of age. Are you hoping to bond them in the future? Into pairs? (Baby bonds don't count as true bonds.)

No iceburg lettuce..hi, sorry to burst in, since I’m new, but I’m an experienced rabbit raiser...I’ve never given them iceberg..because if you read the internet it says not iceberg..

That's correct. No iceberg. (I may have misread, but I thought that was what the OP meant to say.) A little won't kill them but it's safer to avoid it completely. :)

Hi thank you so much.
Yeah I am hoping to desex them when they are old enough (my vet prefers 6 months old) and then to hopefully bond but I am also prepared and able to accomodate if they don’t get along for what ever reason we may run into.
I wasn’t sure with the hay if they had to have Alfalfa as I’ve had trouble finding it around where I am glad to know Timothy is ok for them. Thank you :)
