Hello, my name is Mario...

few days ago my wife and I wife got ourselves a beautiful bunny which we named Fluff... We have other animals; 2 degus, 2 mice and 4 hamsters at the moment...

We adopted almost all of them, but we bought the bunny because we couldn`t ressist when we saw "him". He is adorable... I didn`t have idea rabbits have such a nice character... he is so cuddly and calm around us...
maybe you could help me with identifying the exact breed... I think "he" (not sure about the gender yet) should be dwarf lop eared...

He is out of his cage and with us almost all the time when we are home... We already started potty training with some success... He is just a baby, around 2 months old...

I have many questions but will adress them in other threads... thank you all in advance :D:hugsquish::bunnyheart:bunnyheart
here are some pics, I hope you like them...

Hi and welcome to RO! He is a VERY cute bunny :) I would guess that maybe he is a Lion Lop with Vienna marking.

Welcome! What a cutie :)

Rabbits can be hard to sex when they're too young for males' testicles to have descended. This site may help:

It's not often I hear of someone having degus... my college roommate and I had them - adorable, intelligent little creatures! My little Christopher was SO clever and friendly; I've got so many stories about him :p.

Your degus are SO cute! Christopher loved to hide in my curls and would always get annoyed with me if I had my hair up - I'd usually take it down if/when he prompted me to. I guess he paid enough attention to figure out that the hairband was the key, because one day I was lying in bed on my stomach reading a book and he got up on my shoulders, grabbed my hairband in his teeth and gently tugged it all the way out of my hair, then ran back and forth to spread out my curls so he could hide under my hair. I couldn't believe what a little genius he was!

Oh, and even though he loved to come out and meet people, he somehow intuitively knew how to hide in situations where I'd get in trouble if he got spotted... like going in my pocket in the dorm when one of the RAs was around or hiding in my coat to get through airport security when I had to fly somewhere to meet my mom for Thanksgiving break and couldn't find a pet sitter.

Welcome to the forum. I had a mouse that like to sleep in my pocket--sure do miss my little guy.

Mice are great little creatures... They are very friendly and playful and smart too.
The only thing which bothers me with mice is smell of their urine, mice themselves do not smell at all, but you get used to it with time... :sweep:innocent:spintongue

Just a little update... I can`t believe how wonderful this little creature is :heartbeat:
He is so cuddly and loveable, and acts just like a little puppy but is even cuter and follows me all around the house...
he licks my fingers and sits in my lap for hours...
when I come home after work, he is quicker to greet me than my wife

if I ignore him for any reason he starts to climb on my feet :)

we have success with litter training, but only with pee for now, he lefts those little poo balls everywhere, but it is ok, they are easy to scoop...

I really like fluff. He is a lovely rabbit. Do you keep him indoor or outdoor? X

We didn't introduce the degus to the rabbit although they do like our cats. The cats are afraid of the bunny. Which is funny as the rabbit is smaller than the cats.

Our kitten is afraid of Nala and Gaz (mostly Nala, since Gaz ignores the kitten but Nala instigates her)... never mind that Nala is 3 lbs, 12 oz and Gaz is 4 lbs 12 oz while the kitten is like 11 lbs (she's actually about a year old).

Interesting information. I will wait for next introduction attempt until Fluff gets a bit bigger. I was really surprised when Nika (female degu) attacked him since degus are pretty shy and affraid of everything... Degus have claws and I was affraid she could hurt him... :nono she was probably jelaous since he is out all the time and cuddling with us...Of course we would cuddle with degus but they are generally not into it :cry1:

I let degus out in other room for now, I hope they will become friends soon though... :hug2:

Welcome to the forums, and you have such adorable pets! Fluffy is so cute! :)

Thank you very much :great:

for some reason, pictures in my first post vanished (probably bad image hosting service) so I will upload them again...
I hope I will put a video of Fluff soon... hope you will like it
