Hello everyone!

A little over a month ago I sent my husband to the feed store to get dog food and he came home with a little girl rabbit. Her name is bugs and we couldn't be any more in love with her. She has full range of the house and is litter box trained. She has the most entertaining personality. She joins our family of 3 children 2 great Danes 2 Beagles and a hedgehog.

We are not sure of her age or breed but from looking at her I would guess checkered giant.she is FULL of energy but loves to hop up on the couch and cuddle also.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Are you sure about the Checkered Giant I.D. I have a girl named Serena and she's almost 20 pounds--hard to really get perspective of an avatar pic. Our little boy Finn looked just like her, but, he was only a fourth her size.

I am not sure on her exact breed. I have a friend that breeds champaign d'argents (sp?) And he mentioned the checkered giant. I'm thinking shes most likely a mix. I'm still trying to learn how to post pics I can't get the app to work.

I have no idea how old she is either... we have had her a little over a month and she has well over doubled her size.. would that mean she is still realitively young and still growing? As of today she weighs 6 lbs.

Her and my 8 month old beagle pup have really bonded and when they cuddle up together she is the size of the beagles body..

Yes, the fact that she's doubled in size means that she's still quite young. Probably anywhere in the range of 6-10 weeks.

Love the name by the way! She sounds adorable & a perfect fit to your family! I had to laugh at how Bugs came to join your family when your hubby went to get dog food & brings home Bugs too!
