Oooops! Sorry guys, I hadn't even noticed the replies in this thread lately, my bad! *Feels horrible*

Harper is doing good incision wise. The bottom part is completely healed with hair starting to grow over it. The top of the incision iswhere we were having problems. We glued it closed, and it is scabbing/healing over nicely. Harper still has to stay in his collar for another 2-3 weeks, says the vet, and he has a check-up Monday morning. He's also still on his second round of antibiotics (the vet found infection when we went Monday, so he's on his 2nd round of Baytril), but will be finished with the antibiotics Wednesday.

I'm abit worried tonight, as he is calmer than usual and pooping a bit less. He may be having an "off" day, however I am watching him closely. He is devouring his pellets, and I am about to give him a round of Laxatone as a precaution.

He is also still pooping massive amounts of liquid cecals, which concerns me. The vet claims it was due to the surgery and would sort itself out, however it has just gotten worse -- more liquidy and in more amounts. I'm going to mention it to the vet again Monday. There's been no diet change whatsoever, so there's got to be another explanation.

Anyhoo, that's all for now. Sorry for thedelayed update!

The liquidy cecals is most likely due to the antibiotics, it can kill the good bacteria in the gut.

If he's only got a few days left, just make sure he's not getting dehydrated. Maybe give him some pedialyte.

Aurora, he's taking in loads of water (more so than pre-surgery, actually), and I check his skin daily. He seems to be well hydrated and has even gotten interested in playing with his toys within the last few days. That's a good idea though, that it might be caused by the antibiotics, I never thought of that being the cause. I'm glad the antibiotics end in a few days!
