I came home yesterday and found my favorite rescue with her right eye completely closed and puss coming out of it. She was laying around and wouldn't move. I picked her up and cleaned her eye and found that it looked infected with a white film on it. I took her to the emergency vet and they told me she has an ulcer on her eye. She is on meds and I have to take her back to get rechecked. Of course I was bawling like a baby because she is my favorite and I've made so much progress with her, she wouldn't eat hay for almost a year and has just started. I take her to the park and we go on walks together and she sits in the passenger seat when I drive to the park! She's a great pal. Has this happened to anyone before and what was the outcome. She doc said worse she could lose her eye, but it would be very painful.
