One of the other volunteers in the rabbit rescue I volunteer for email me regarding her rabbit. Here is the situation:
Donnie took Benny to the vet today and after doing some xrays, it appears that she has some kind of a growth near her heart. They also saw that there was some fluid in her lungs. He took blood to see if there's any kind of infection that they can treat, but we won't really know for a few days. they said that if something showed up in the blood, it was good because they could try and fix it, but if not... well, i don't know. There's not much they can do for the tumor though, because it would require open-chest surgery and they said she's too old.
The vet is rabbit-savvy. Any suggestions? I suggested going to Penn for an second opinion.
