HI! I have a mini lop, and I was just wondering how often/ what type if brushes/combs I should be using on her to ensure her coat stays nice, also how often should I clip her nails?

Rabbits have very sensitive skin, so metal-tipped brushes aren't recommended for them - rubber tipped ones are safer (source: http://www.wheekwheekthump.com/2013/05/08/rabbit-grooming/ ).

Personally, I use a furminator (for long-haired cats under 10 lbs, but the small animal one or one for small dogs would work just as well) and swear by it... they're absurdly expensive in pet stores and such but can often be found on Amazon or eBay for around $20-25. Furminators get the undercoat as well, so they do a great job of removing hair (especially during molts) and they come with a money-back satisfaction guarantee - in other words, nothing to lose if you or your bunny doesn't like it.

I use this thing I got at walmart, it's like rubber I think? It's actually for removing fur from humans and operates mostly I think on static electricity lol

I used to lintroll Tank when he got really bad

My two favorite brushes are the furminator and the zoom groom which is a rubber brush. How often they need to be brushed depends on whether or not they're molting. During a heavy molt I try and brush them every day. I trim their nails about once a month, but how often that's necessary depends on the rabbit and the flooring they're housed on.

Excellent!... just wanted to make sure (and to clarify for any newer rabbit owners who wander through this thread), since the ones in the picture you used (which looks like a generic copy/paste off the web) don't have rubber tips ;)

At the moment I have a wide teethed comb, it's to remove undercoat. I found a few slicker brushes last week, but they were all dog ones, not sure if those would be appropriate?
I used to do dog grooming so have alot of brushes, combs etc but not sure if I need special rabbit brushes? Lol

You do not have to use a brush that's specific to rabbits. A small cat comb/brush works fine. You just have to make sure that the brush doesn't irritate/scratch or pull at their skin.
